Utility Billing

Beginning June 15, 2026, customers making credit or debit card payments must enter the billing ZIP code exactly as it appears with the issuing financial institution of the card being used. If the ZIP code entered does not match the card's billing ZIP code on file, the payment will be declined.

Stored cards containing an incorrect or outdated billing ZIP code must also be updated by June 15th or will be declined.

Note: This may or may not be the same ZIP code associated with the customer's MMU account or mailing address.

Marshall Municipal Utilities accepts VISA and MasterCard credit and debit card payments.

Payments are accepted up to a maximum transaction amount of $1,000 and a maximum payment amount of $1,000 per billing period.

Payments over $1,000 can be made by Check, Cash, Money Order, Electronic Funds Transfer, or Automatic Bank Withdrawal.
